What We Believe
Statement of Faith
Christ Transformation Ministries (CTM) is an evangelical church, and accepts the infallibility of the Holy Bible as its final authority in matters pertaining to faith and conduct.
We believe that God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are in unity, co-equal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14, Deut. 6:4; Matthew 28: 19; 2 Cor. 13:14).
About the Bible
We believe that the Holy Bible, inspired by God is infallible, authoritative and profitable for teaching, reproof, correcting and for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16 – 17; 2 Peter 1: 20 – 21).
We believe that the human race is totally depraved as a consequence of the fall of mankind and is therefore in need of new birth in Christ Jesus (Gen. 3; John 3:3; Rom. 3:10; 5:12).
About Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; that He came into the world, took on a human body, did works of grace, died for the sins of mankind, resurrected to give mankind eternal life, and ascended into Heaven to be mediator between God and man, and that He reigns eternally (Mark 10:45; Luke 24:6; 5:1; Thess. 4:16 – 17; 1 Peter 3:18).
We believe that a person is justified by grace and saved through faith in Christ Jesus alone (Rom. 3:24 – 26; Acts 13:39). Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works – only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. The Holy Spirit works in the heart of a person to bring conversion and sanctification (Acts 13:39; Rom. 3:23–26; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:23– 25).
About the Church
We believe that the Church is a chosen community of believers, a Royal Priesthood, a Holy Nation and God’s own people (1 Peter 2:9). In view of this, it is the duty of the Church to strive to live a holy life. The Church was instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ and it is the Church’s responsibility to worship God, evangelize and build up the Church by exercising the spiritual gifts given to them by God (Matthew 16: 16 – 18; 1 Corinthians 12: 4 – 11; Ephesians 2: 19 – 22 , 4: 11 – 16).
We believe that Jesus Christ instituted the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper and instructed the Church to observe them regularly – (Matt. 26:25 – 29, 28: 19 –20, 1 Cor. 11:23- 24)
We believe that on the last day, the Lord Jesus Christ shall return in person. The dead shall be resurrected bodily, after which the world shall be judged by Him, resulting in the eternal bliss of the righteous, and the eternal punishment of the wicked (I Thess.4:14-17; 2 Thess. 1:7-10; Acts 24: 15; Heb. 9:27, 2 Cor. 5:10).
